Technical assistance for people with rheumatoid arthritis

This article seeks to present the final project elaborated in order to obtain the title as an industrial designer at the Universidad Católica de Pereira. It's a projet based on the study of rheumatoid arthritis, treatment, technical aids, psychology of aging, quality of life in the elderly, characteristics of the elderly in Colombia, emotional design and universal design principies with the purpose to design a technical assistance for people with rheumatoid arthritis in level 3 and 4. Methodologically, interviews were made to experts (physical therapists, rheumatologists and others), and people affected with the disease. The goal is to find a design of elements that will contribute to favor the development of the daily activities of the persons with this disease with advantages for its use and maintenance.
