Abstract

After a close observation on the functioning of the "circular diamond saw" cutting glass objects, it was found to have some shortcomings related to the persohal safety of the operator, which led to develop a project to design a device that solved the problem since it does not have a security element when making these cuts. Is an innovative product design to be incorporated into the tool providing the operator to make cuts with greater safety and better visibility, seeking to satisfy the needs of this and the expectations had to fulfill conditions required by the current design, such as the importance of protecting the individual to minimize occupational hazards hauled in the execution oftheir daily work, leading the worker to feel secure in his personal work, as well comfortable using it, generating less fatigue and greater productivity for the company.
