Abstract

The Metropolitan Area AMCO of Center-West Colombia incorporates the main municipalities of Pereira, Dosquebradas and La Virginia, being considered to be a dynamic region in which you can see in the last decade a complex transformation phenomena as the population grew by migration, the boost of big infrastructures, the increase of the indexes of displacement, unemployment, the exploitation of environmental resources, but at the same time opportunity factors like the strategic position in the territory and suitable land for development which would allow it to have a vision into the future based on network integration of the municipalities from an integral perspective, guaranteeing a model of sustainable development for the human beings who live in it with a better quality of life, from the cultural, physical -environmental and technological field.
