The aim of this research article is to understand the strategic logic from the location of the free zone of Pereira and know its relevance or not in the region. It approaches the subject from the categories related to the topic, planning and urban development and the subcategory of new industrial centers. It emphasizes on the economic and urban spaces covering most of the content provided from the category of urban planning.
