Characterization of solutions for virtualization applications: preliminary diffusion
Keywords:
virtualization, applications virtualization, Centralized access, streamingAbstract
In this paper preliminary results of the graduation project in the form of research entitled Characterization of solutions for application virtualization are presented, which started with a study in order to determine if it was necessary to close the knowledge about application virtualization for the members of the GRID group at Universidad del Quindío. After finding an interest in the Group for knowing more about this technology, it was initiated the construction of a comparison chart where characteristics of each solution were analyzed, in order to select those who met criteria previously identified and performed its functional exploration. This exploration was developed with the
solutions Citrix XenApp 7.5 and VMWare Horizon 6 with view.
