About the Journal
Focus and scope
Entre Ciencia e Ingeniería is a journal focused on the dissemination of research works in all areas of engineering, basic sciences, and the teaching of these areas. The journal publishes scientific and technological research articles, reflection articles, and review articles, written in English or Spanish. The submission of articles for publication in the journal has no cost.
Scientific and technological research articles are documents that present, in detail, the original results of finished research projects. The structure generally used contains four important sections: introduction, methodology, results and conclusions.
The reflection articles present the results of finished research, from an analytical, interpretive, or critical perspective of the author, on a specific topic, using original sources.
Review articles are the result of finished research where the results of published or unpublished research on a field in science or technology are analyzed, systematized and integrated, in order to account for the progress and the development trends. It is characterized by presenting a careful bibliographic review of at least 50 references.
Peer Review
Entre Ciencia e Ingeniería uses a double-blind review, which means that both the identity of the reviewer and the author are hidden from the reviewers, and vice versa, throughout the review process.
Publication frequency
Entre Ciencia e Ingeniería adopts a continuous publication model, starting in January 2020. The articles accepted in their final version will be included in the semester issue as they complete the review, correction, and diagramming process.
