This reflection seeks to think about the debate between the models of urban growth, the case of the compact model and the dispersed model, and its differences. The controversy between both models is based on the type of occupation in the territory, affecting the daily life of the inhabitants. The city must be seen as a system composed by different zones with its particularities, and from there depends on its connections for the success of its functioning. Both models present benefits and prejudices from the environmental, psychological, architectural, political, and economical point of view among others, depending dn whom it favors more, spoiling the definition of the "common good ".
